A great trip: very high quality bird watching, flexible itinerary and a great local guide. He is true birdwatcher, very passionate, have good knowledge about Mongolian avifauna, very eager to learn, open to discussion, knows the ecology of the species and has an extensive knowledge on birding destinations and the country.
The long drives through the desolate landscapes completed our desire of nomadic road trip. Hours of bumping and sometimes wandering, then suddenly braking for the umpteenth golden eagle or a puddle in the distance – which often resulted in something new.

Accommodation was great. An unusual trip to plan, but all targets were seen and goals were achieved. I can’t wish for more. I’ve also rarely eaten so tasty vegetarian cuisine.

The local guide is a man with many capacities: knowledge of nature, good locations for birds, organizational talent and fluent English. He has a lot of empathy in our western world, but still a great love for his own country and traditions. He did everything to make it pleasant for everyone. A winner.
